With eStatements you will be notified via email when your eStatement is ready. You will no longer receive a paper statement in the mail for your checking and savings accounts.

If you are unable to visit the bank during normal banking hours, use our Night Deposit service to make your deposits. We provide you with a secure and safe way to deposit your personal deposits or your business' daily sales at any time at any of our four locations.
Tips for Night Depository Use:
- Ensure each part of your transaction is labeled with your account number, where appropriate
- Prepare your transaction at home (for instance, by filling out your deposit slip)
- Record each transaction in your personal account ledger
- Compare monthly statements with your records
- Do not leave envelopes or check stubs around the night drop
- Be aware of your surroundings. Do not accept assistance from unfamiliar people at the night depository
- We want our night deposit facilities to be safe and convenient for you. Therefore, please tell us if you know of any problem with a facility. For instance, let us know if a light is not working. Please report any suspicious activity or crimes to both Merchants State Bank and local law enforcement immediately
Merchants State Bank offers customers the convenience of an InstaKey ATM location in our Freeman and Viborg locations. Our ATMs are located behind the Freeman and Viborg bank buildings alongside the drive-up windows.
Transactions at InstaKey ATMs will not incur Merchants State Bank charges.
Tips for ATM Use:
- Do not lend your ATM card to anyone
- Protect the secrecy of your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Protect your ATM card as though it were cash. Do not tell anyone your PIN. Do not keep a note of your PIN in your wallet or purse
- Prevent others from seeing you enter your PIN by using your body to shield their view
- Do not leave your ATM card, envelopes or check stubs around the ATM machine
- If you lose your ATM card or it is stolen, promptly notify us
- Don't display your cash; pocket it as soon as the ATM transaction is completed and count the cash later when you are in the safety of your own car, home, or other secure surrounding
- At a drive-up facility, make sure all the car doors are locked and all the windows are rolled up, except the driver's window. Keep the engine running and remain alert to your surroundings
- Record each transaction in your personal account ledger
- Compare monthly statements with your records
- Be aware of your surroundings. Do not accept assistance from unfamiliar people at the ATM machine

A notary public is an officer who can administer oaths and statutory declarations, witness and authenticate documents and perform certain other acts varying from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.
